Vintage Famille Rose Goose Tureen

A mid-20th century Chinese Export famille rose porcelain tureen in the form of a plump goose with softly graduated pink, celadon, and apricot plumage. Hand-painted in famille rose enamels with fine detailing to the eyes, beak, and feathers. The goose as a tureen form is a classical conceit — this example is well-executed.
