Vintage McGuire Rattan Armchairs (Pair)

A pair of vintage armchairs by McGuire, constructed from bent rattan with the company’s characteristic rawhide bindings. Circular target motifs center the open backs, while gently flared arms and slender stretchers give the chairs a strong silhouette without adding visual weight.

The loose seat cushions are upholstered in a small-scale figural textile depicting riders, animals, and foliage against a neutral ground. A particularly good pair for flanking a console, sitting across from a sofa, or adding natural structure to a bedroom.

Condition: Good vintage condition with visible age-appropriate wear consistent with use and history. The rattan has developed a varied patina, with surface wear, scuffs, finish loss, and wear to the rawhide bindings throughout. Upholstery shows some discoloration and wear.
